Two stones weighing 37g were purchased from a dealer in Taliouine, Morocco on October 29, 2010. A sample was provided to Dr Tony Irving for classification, who reports: Fresh specimen with subophitic texture, composed of exsolved pigeonite, calcic plagioclase laths (with abundant inclusions of orthopyroxene and clinopyroxene), silica polymorph, ilmenite, Ti-chromite, troilite and rare zircon. Exsolved pigeonite consists of exsolution lamellae of clinopyroxene (Fs29.7-30.3Wo41.3-41.2) within host orthopyroxene (Fs62.7-63.2Wo2.7-2.0; FeO/MnO = 30-32).
