Von Christian Koeberl gibt es ab heute in MAPS nun auch eine Buchbesprechung des Werks.
Trotz einiger weniger Kritikpunkte
- "I was missing [...] a clear listing of the structures where the current atlas differs from the Earth Impact Database"
- "A few structures for which the evidence is still not unambiguous are shown and described"
- "Some choices are not completely clear" (Alamo Breccia area in Nevada, Libyan Desert Glass area, Santa Fe)
- "all the nice images and the topographic data are not openly available"
resümiert er:
"In summary, this book is well written, up to date, authoritative, and very beautifully illustrated and printed in high quality; at the given price, it is a very good deal that should be in the library of anybody interested in impact structures on Earth."
